Saving the Earth One Building at a Time
We are a group of seven sophomores dedicated to educating and creating change through the implantation of green buildings
Are you living in close proximity to a highway? Do you breathe in toxic carbon emissions everyday outside your house? Do you want to know how to save energy and water in your home? You have come to the right place! Welcome! We are a group of seven students a part of the Marin School of Environmental Leadership at Terra Linda High School, a school that brings up high school leaders and educates them about the environment. Our mission is to spread awareness and create change in the green buildings sector. This blog will expand your knowledge on how you can make a difference for our Earth. From teaching you easy ways on how to make your lifestyle more green, to the health concerns for living in unsustainable buildings, our blog will cover everything you need to know about green buildings! So what is a green building? A green building is a building that, in its design, construction or operation, reduces or eliminates negative impacts, and can create positive impacts, on our climate and natural environment. Green buildings preserve precious natural resources and improve our day-to-day quality of life! Our project is about how we can make our schools more sustainable in our district by incorporating green building aspects. Come back each week because we will be posting a new blog every Friday, just click blog in the top right corner!
